Loral | Hop Sensory Analysis With Oil Creek Brewing

Loral comes in at 9.4% AA. It is a Super Noble variety of hops which means it’s great for lager beers!

When I first opened the bag I was hit in the face with the smell of cedar. Oddly enough, it reminds me of cedar pet bedding. In this sense, that’s not a bad thing at all. It’s very pleasant. I also picked up on a citrus rind as well as a bit of floral notes.

Loral would make a great addition in a German Lager, American Lager, or even IPAs. This could go well in some English varieties too.
