HBC 1019 / DOLICTA | Hop Sensory Analysis With Oil Creek Brewing

Bred in 2016 from a cross between two experimental lines, Dolcita was the first hop to skip the traditional ‘Single Hill’ phase, moving directly into rapid commercial release.

HBC 1019 is an experimental hop variety. Now known as DOLCITA! It is known as a potent but pleasing mix of citrus and stone fruit. This particular crop is very cream and vanilla forward with an orange marmalade, and honeydew melon flavor.

Alpha acids are 9.6% and l’d recommend this hop in a pale ale, ipa of any kind and I think it’d be a great addition to an American stout.
